What will I be doing in the in-person class?
Besides having a great time? We will go over cookie facts, decorating techniques and you will decorate your very own set of cookies to take home.

 

Do I need to know how to bake?
Nope! No baking experience required. I will have the cookies pre-made for you along with the icing already mixed and colored.

 

What will we learn in class?
You will learn the value of different icing consistencies along with tips and tricks to make cute cookies. You will also learn decorating techniques such as outlining, flooding, marbling, wet-on-wet, and much more. Techniques will vary depending on the class.

 

Can I purchase an additional take-home kit?
Yes! Many practicing cookiers purchase additional class kits to take home to hone their newly learned skills. The class kit comes with everything you used in class. You can purchase an add-on kit during check-out. Your kit will be available at the end of your class - so don't forget it! If you are skipping the class and just ordering the kit – swing by anytime during class to sneak in and pick it up.

 

What do I need to bring?
Nothing but a smile! Everything will be provided for you including tasty sugar cookies. All you need to do is join me and have fun! Messy decorator? You can bring your own apron or just wear easy-to-wash clothing.

 

What age is best for cookie classes?
My classes are for almost any age! From youngsters to grandparents- come on in and have some cookie fun with me. The classes are great for any age; however, for the adult classes, kiddos under 12 will need a parent taking the class as well.

 

Can just my child take the class?
For kids under 12, I offer a Kiddos Cookie Decorating Class. You can drop off your kiddo to take the class and return to pick-up in 1.5 hours. Due to space restrictions, there is not enough room for parents to stand by and watch their children in class.

 

What will I bring home?
By the end of the class, you will have created a set of cute cookies to take home and of course, you will have new skills, memories, and fun!

 

Can I sign up as an individual or as a group?

You can sign up either as an individual, with a friend, or with a whole group. The more the merrier! I am limited to a total of 20 seats per class, so definitely sign-up ASAP!

 

Where are the classes located?
Classes are held at Cotton Candy Kidz located at 2059 S. Houston Levee in Collierville.

 

I signed up for a class but can't make it?
I understand that life happens so that’s why you can cancel with a refund up to 5 days before the class. You can always transfer your spot to a friend though (what a nice friend you are). Read below for my COVID-19 Cancellation Policies.

 

What if I have food allergies?
Eggs, gluten, and nuts are present in the kitchen used to bake these cookies and make the icing. Please consider your allergies before registering.

Covid / General Cancellation Policy for In-Person Classes

 

Note - My classes no longer require masks but will follow the current recommendation by the Memphis
government and health organizations so mask mandate is subject to change.

 

Class Masking Policy
You will not be required to wear a mask throughout the class; however, you can choose to wear a mask
if you prefer. Each station is disinfected along with the venue before and after your event.

 

Showing Symptoms Before 5 Days Out
If you are sick prior to the 5-day refund cutoff, you can cancel for a full refund. Contact me at
auntkimmysbakery@gmail.com to advise you are sick and to request a refund.

 

Showing Symptoms After 5 Days Out
For any sickness symptoms prior to your class start time but after the 5-day refund policy, please email
me (auntkimmysbakery@gmail.com) prior to your class start time and I’ll give you a credit for the next
class!

 

If You Do Not Show Up or Email Prior To Class
If I do not hear from you before your class start time and you do not show up for class, I will not be able
to offer you a refund or a credit regardless if you are sick. So please reach out to me
(auntkimmysbakery@gmail.com) if you are feeling sick before class starts!
